The Royal British Legion
Barkway and District Branch

Barkway and District Branch has 66 members and is part of the Number Two Group in Hertfordshire.

The Royal British Legion was formed after the First World War to look after members of the Armed Forces and their dependants.   Since World War II membership has been extended and anyone can now become an associate member.

We hold two fund-raising events each year in Barkway Social Club and we also organise the Poppy Day collection in the area.   In November a Remembrance Day Service takes place in Barkway Church and wreaths are laid at the War Memorial.
